Social media influencer Aanvi Kamdar- A 26-year-old Instagram influencer died after falling into a gorge at Kumbhe Waterfall near Raigad, Maharashtra. Officials said that Anvi Kamdar, a resident of Mumbai, fell into a 300 feet deep gorge while shooting a reel. Anvi had gone on a trip to the waterfall with seven friends on July 16.

A social media influencer from Raigad’s Maharashtra, Aanvi Kamdar was 27 years of age fell into the gorge while recording a reel, newswire PTI reported. The 27- year-old Mumbai-based CA-turned social travel influencer was on a monsoon outing to the waterfall on Tuesday with seven of her friends when this incident occurred.
Today at around 10.30 am, Aanvi fell into a deep ditch while shooting a video. Local authorities immediately responded to the incident and the rescue team reached the spot. More help was sought from Coast Guard, Kolad Rescue Team and Maharashtra State Electricity Board employees. Even after reaching her, it was difficult to pick her up because she was injured and it was raining heavily. So we decided to pull him out with the help of a vertical pulley.
After a six-hour rescue operation, Anvi was taken out safely. However, he died at Managaon Sub-District Hospital soon after being brought due to serious injuries sustained due to the fall. After this, local officials including Tehsildar and Managaon Police Inspector issued an appeal to tourists and citizens.
He appealed to everyone to enjoy tourism responsibly and give priority to safety while enjoying the natural beauty of the Sahyadri ranges. He stressed the importance of avoiding risky behavior that can put life at risk.
