Dalits will get message of unity on Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti

The events of are part of the outreach program of the three countries. This will be the first time that the three leaders will come together on a single platform to give a message of unity to Dalits and seek their support in future elections.

The incident will help all the three parties in building their pitch for the Lok Sabha polls with an eye on Dalit votes. The SP had won one seat in the state in the 2018 assembly elections.

Chandrashekhar’s Azad Samaj Party may also join the alliance and his party may help them all to gain the support of Dalits,” said an SP leader.

The 2019 Lok Sabha elections were fought by the SP and the RLD in alliance with the BSP

At that time, Mayawati’s party had the responsibility of getting Dalit votes for the alliance. But the alliance did not get the desired results, BSP got only 10 seats, while SP got five and RLD got none.

The three leaders will address a public meeting after paying homage to Dr. Ambedkar.

Akhilesh Yadav unveiled Kanshi Ram’s statue in Rae Bareli district on Monday and directed party units to celebrate Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on a large scale in all districts.

Mhow is the birthplace of Dr BR Ambedkar and has a memorial there. “The program is being organised near that memorial. BSP claims the support of Dalits in UP. But with time the attitude of BSP towards Dalits has changed. While SP and RLD leaders are publicly celebrating the birth anniversaries of Kanshi Ram and Ambedkar, BSP president Mayawati pays homage to the two Dalit icons at party offices in Lucknow and Delhi. To mobilise the masses, direct contact with them on the ground is essential,” said another SP official. In this situation, the Dalits, the poor and the marginalised sections of the society can forge an alliance with the ruling party.

This event is going to be an outreach program in that direction,” said an RLD leader, adding that the presence of Akhilesh, Jayant and Azad on one platform would present an alternative to Dalits across the country. Jayant Chowdhary confirmed that he would attend the event in Mhow. He said the message would be about the need to fulfill Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and implement all the provisions of the Constitution drafted by him.
